Three Mayfield Bathrooms

Brief To completely refurbish three bathrooms. Duration 2 months Location Mayfield, Sussex What we did During the initial project consultation, we discussed how to make the best use of space. This was particularly important when it came to the family bathroom, where our client wanted to incorporate both a shower and a roll top bath….

How we work

Every project is different, but here is an overview of our process, to give you an idea of how we work. You can read more about us and our ethos on our about page.

Initial Consultation

Tim will start by listening, asking questions and discussing design and layout ideas for your new bathroom, drawing on his experience in the trade to provide advice on possible options and their feasibility and practicality. You will of course have the opportunity to ask him questions.

Bathroom Plan

The next step is to go away and create a CAD plan of your new bathroom. We have a close working relationship with our local bathroom supplier, who create our plans based on the measurements we take during the consultation phase. We may create several plan variations if the consultation produces more than one design possibility. We will discuss the plans with you and liaise with our bathroom supplier regarding any changes necessary.

Tim was recommended to me for the strip-out and installation of the family bathroom, we were delighted with the outcome and he has subsequently installed another bathroom and carried out many other plumbing/building jobs. Not many of us like having ‘people’ in our homes to do work, but with Tim it was a pleasure – Tim and Howard were tidy, quiet, reliable and worked solidly to get the job done. For parts of a job requiring other trades he has a solid network that have the same work ethic as him.

Finalise Products & Finishes

Once the layout plan is agreed, you will have the opportunity to visit our bathroom supplier’s showroom to discuss and choose your bathroom suite, fittings and finishes – as well as making any final tweaks to the layout plan if needed. Or if you’re tight for time, we are happy to select products for you based on your brief. Our supplier will produce a final plan and 3D visuals, giving an impression of how the finished bathroom will look.

Bathroom Construction

The bathroom construction will take place over an agreed timescale and will be managed by Tim himself. All fitting, plumbing and tiling are undertaken by our in-house team, complimented by a reliable team of plasterers, floorers and electricians – all of whom we know and trust to bring about high quality results. Our aim is to provide a polite, friendly on-site service with as little disruption as possible. Our customers appreciate the tidy, quiet and reliable way in which we work and also our constructive and positive approach to problem-solving.

I cannot recommend Tim and his team too highly.
He has undertaken work on my detached Edwardian house over 15 years, starting with small repair jobs, and moving on to major projects. His most recent were complete refits of 3 bathrooms, and a bedroom.
Most importantly, the work is of a very high standard, and he is very reliable. He communicates well, so that you know what’s going on, and he will discuss matters as they arise. He and his team are completely trustworthy.
Whilst I know he can work thoroughly to a detailed specification, I have found Tim particularly good in helping to develop an idea, talking through the options, and so contributing in a very positive way to realising just what you’re trying to achieve.

In the event of any post-project issues or snagging, Tim will come back to visit and correct any problems. The high quality of our work is very important to us.
